How Age Stereotypes Effect Work Productivity

Do you remember the old saying, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”? In a mature company, it is very likely that the employees have different age groups. Certain assumptions about this age variety can cause difficulties in working relationships. Why? Misunderstanding and rivalry can build up between these groups. Why again? Labels can underestimate an individual’s capability.

This is wasteful in so many ways. We should learn to respect our colleagues whatever their age. Isn’t it more constructive to know that everyone works hand in hand for success? Age should be irrelevant.
